Robin Crossan, President (District 4)

Robin Crossan has lived in Steamboat Springs for 6 ½ years. She originally resided in Southeast Pennsylvania. She was a Facilities Director for Macy’s in New York City and wrote Disaster Recovery Plans. She is married and her husband Barry is retired. She has a son, Brant in 10th Grade. Robin works at the mountain in the winter as a Guest Services Ambassador Supervisor. She works at the Steamboat Golf Club Pro Shop in the summers. Robin is involved in the Middle School SAC, Young Life Committee and the Education Fund Board. She likes to ski, golf, garden and cook.

Denise Connelly, Treasurer (District 3)

Denise is a parent of three students; two elementary and one middle school student.  She has a B. A. in Spanish and Education from Colorado State University and an M.S. in Information Systems from the College of Business at the University of Colorado.  She recently retired from her teaching position in the school district after 29 years.  Denise continues her involvement in education by teaching Spanish, translating, and tutoring Hispanic students.

Laura Anderson, Secretary (District 5)

Laura’s objective: “I believe education is one of the greatest gifts we can give a child and I am proud to be serving on the Steamboat Springs RE-2 Board of Education.” Laura is an engineer by education and a volunteer mom by choice. She has volunteered in several capacities at SPE, SSMS, SSHS and on District Committees. She is a volunteer at Holy Name Catholic Church with the Faith Formation Program, the Altar Society, and the Hospitality Ministry. She is the chair for the neighborhood Architectural Control Committee. Laura volunteers and supports music programs throughout the community. She is a volunteer with the Routt County Master Gardeners and the Yampa Valley Botanic Park. Laura created and chaired PEAKS (Partners Educating and Advocating for Kids Success) a support group for parents and teachers of high ability kids. Laura graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering and worked in the public sector as a Transportation Engineer with several Front Range Municipalities from 1983 to 1999. Laura’s interests include: family, skiing, hiking, golfing, music and youth hockey.

Lisa Brown, Vice-President (District 2)

Lisa Brown is a graduate of Steamboat Springs High School and the University of Colorado. She is currently raising her two young children in Steamboat. Lisa works as the Program Manager for the Yampa Valley Community Foundation.
