The Steamboat Springs School District (SSSD) has been awarded $2.5 million in grant funding through the EPA and Colorado Electric School Bus programs.
Welcome to the fourth edition of Unity in Education: Addressing Discrimination Together. In this edition, our aim is to provide resources to help students and parents cope with discrimination. It includes videos and guides on standing up for oneself, addressing racism, and fostering open communication. The content focuses on building resilience, supporting children and teens in difficult situations, and empowering them to respond effectively to bias and injustice. We hope these resources help our parent community create a supportive environment in discussing race and identity openly.
As the newest school in the Steamboat Springs School District, now in its fourth year, Sleeping Giant has grown into a thriving community. It’s more than a place to learn; it’s a place where students develop into better individuals.
