Meet Your Superintendent: Dr. Celine Wicks

Dr. Celine Wicks has served as Superintendent of the Steamboat Springs School District since July 2022. In this role, she has led with a multifaceted approach to education—blending practical experience with scholarly insight—to support student success, educator development, and strong school-community partnerships.

Dr. Wicks brings over two decades of experience in public education, having served in both Colorado and Massachusetts. Before her superintendency, she was principal of Strawberry Park Elementary School and held a variety of leadership and teaching roles in Douglas County, Colorado, as well as in Marblehead, Massachusetts. She is also an adjunct professor in the Educational Leadership and Policy Studies Department at the University of Northern Colorado, where she helps prepare the next generation of school leaders.

Dr. Wicks embodies an unwavering commitment to excellence in education and the holistic advancement of students and educators alike. Her leadership is grounded in transparency, collaboration, and a deep belief in the transformative power of public education.
