Kim Delaney serves as the Preschool Director for the Steamboat Springs School District. With more than 25 years of experience in early childhood education, she has worked as a Kindergarten teacher, reading specialist, and preschool teacher.

Kim has called Steamboat home for nearly two decades, contributing to several early childhood programs including BOCES, Laurel Street, Young Tracks, and most recently, Soda Creek Preschool.

She is passionate about supporting children, families, and educators through every stage of the preschool experience. Kim believes the preschool years are a critical and exciting time in a child’s development—and that play, both indoors and out, is essential to building lifelong skills.

Under her leadership, the district’s preschools use Creative Curriculum, a research-based approach aligned with assessments, along with the Second Step curriculum to support social-emotional growth.

Kim is always happy to connect with families, whether you have questions about enrollment, financial assistance, UPK, or just want to talk about how your child is doing.

She is honored to support the first steps of your child’s educational journey.
