2023-2024 New Student Enrollment in Alma Start

We are excited to announce that registration for new students is now open for the 2023-2024 school year! Below you will find details on how to access registration in our new student information system, Alma, as we are switching from Infinite Campus. 


Alma is a new software system to help us better manage school, classroom, and student information. Alma is a secure, easy-to-use online system that brings important school information and tools together in one place. We expect this to save school leaders and teachers time and make it easier to get a complete view of students’ progress.


Alma Account Activation Link

Current families with students enrolled in the district should have received an email from Alma with information about how to log into the portal and activate your account. Individuals marked as a guardian for a student in Infinite Campus were automatically brought into Alma and are labeled as guardians for those students. 


2023-2024 School Registration

Registration will open up on March 6 for new students for the 2023-2024 school year. Going forward, online registration for school will go through Alma. If you would like to enroll a new student, you will be able to do that now. 


  • Current families with students enrolled in SSSD will need to activate their Alma account through the activation link sent to their email. Once you have activated your account, you will be able to access new student registration forms within Alma. You can find more detailed instructions here. 

  • New families who have not previously enrolled students in SSSD will need to create an account by visiting: https://ssk12.almastart.com/. You can find more detailed instructions here. 


Please be prepared to upload the following documents when registering: 

  1. Your child’s birth certificate

  2. Your child’s immunization record

  3. Current proof of residence in the form of a utility bill (within 90 days), Property Tax Bill or Lease/Rental agreement showing the name and physical address of a parent or legal guardian. 

  4. Families must also apply through the Colorado Department of Early Childhood website for Universal Preschool.

  5. Additional forms for preschool are available on the online enrollment section of the district website. 


If you have any questions about new student registration, please contact the school your student currently attends or will attend next year. 


Family Information Update

Once you have activated your Alma account, you will be able to input your family's information, such as phone numbers, addresses, and emergency contact information. Since Alma is a brand-new system, we want to ensure that this information is correct. When you are ready, please take a moment to input information pertaining to your family. We appreciate your help with this process!

Inscripción Escolar 2023-2024

La inscripción se abrirá el 6 de marzo para los nuevos estudiantes para el año escolar 2023-2024. En adelante, la inscripción en línea para la escuela irá a través de Alma. Si desea inscribir a un nuevo estudiante, usted será capaz de hacerlo ahora. 


  • Las familias actuales con estudiantes matriculados en SSSD tendrán que activar su cuenta de Alma a través del enlace de activación enviado a su correo electrónico. Por favor esté preparado para subir los siguientes documentos cuando se registre: 

  1. El certificado de nacimiento de su hijo

  2. La cartilla de vacunación de su hijo

  3. Prueba de residencia actual en forma de factura de servicios públicos (dentro de los 90 días), factura de impuestos sobre la propiedad o contrato de alquiler que muestre el nombre y la dirección física de un padre o tutor legal. 

  4. Las familias también deben solicitar el preescolar universal a través del sitio web del Colorado Department of Early Childhood

  5. Formularios adicionales para preescolar están disponibles en la sección de inscripción en línea del sitio web del distrito.

Online Registration Documentation Required

Documents are required to be uploaded during the online registration process. All electronic documents must be legible. If you are not able to upload documents, you will need to provide a copy of these documents to your child's school office as soon as possible, before your registration can be completed. 

Proof of Residency

Must be dated within 3 months of application- must show physical address- must be in the name of the parent, guardian or student. One of the following documents will be required to be uploaded during the enrollment process:

  • mortgage, lease or rental contract - must be current
  • utility statement - within 3 months
  • residential real estate tax statement
If you are not able to upload proof of residency because you do not have a qualifying document in your name, please contact the school or District Office prior to beginning the enrollment process. 





Birth Certificate

Must show full legal name of child and date of birth or one of the following: 

  • state-issued ID
  • adoption certificate
  • hospital certificate

Your Child's Immunization Records - (updated 3-4-22)
Waivers, Releases and Handbooks
During the enrollment process, you will be asked to give permission for your child's participation in events, acknowledge that you have reviewed District and school policies and acknowledge receipt of various documents for you to review with your child. Preschool Enrollment

Extended Deadline for Universal Pre-School Enrollment 2023/2024

Universal Pre-K is extending the timeline for matching families to providers. This will allow more time for families to get back into the system, edit their applications or make changes to provider choices. This will also allow new families to get into the system before the first round of matching.

Important dates: 

  • On February 17, applications will reopen to allow you to reevaluate your choices to make sure you still have the best providers selected to meet your family’s needs. 

  • February 24 is the deadline for families to edit applications and for new families to apply in the first round of applications.

  • On February 27, UPK will take the first round of applicants and begin the matching process. 

  • Registration for SSSD preschool will open on March 6. Families will need to complete that registration and can complete it prior to finding out if they are matched.

  • Around March 30, families will receive an email letting them know which provider their child was matched with and what the next steps for enrollment will be.

Universal Pre-K está ampliando el plazo para emparejar a las familias con los proveedores.   • El 27 de febrero, la UPK tomará la primera ronda de solicitantes y comenzará el proceso de asignaciones. 

  • La inscripción para el preescolar SSSD se abrirá el 6 de marzo. Las familias tendrán que completar ese registro, puede completar antes de saber si son asignados.

  • Alrededor del 30 de marzo, las familias recibirán un correo electrónico en el que les informaremos del proveedor al que se ha asignado a su hijo y de los siguientes pasos para la inscripción.
