Reminder: Keep Our Kids Safe on the School Bus
In light of several recent stop sign violations involving school buses during the first week of school, the Steamboat Springs School District is urging all drivers to be extra vigilant around school buses.
Yellow flashing lights: Prepare to stop
Red flashing lights & stop sign extended: STOP! It's the law.
When you see a school bus with flashing yellow lights, prepare to stop. If the bus is flashing red lights and has its stop sign extended, you must stop no closer than 20 feet from the bus. These rules are in place to protect our students—let's all do our part to keep them safe.
