Rotary Clubs Offer Free Leadership Conference for Routt County Students

Steamboat Springs, CO — The Steamboat Springs Rotary Club and the Ski Town Rotary Club are now accepting applications for the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA), five-day leadership and teamwork conferences.  

Any current Routt County 10th, 11th, and 12th-grade students can apply for the 2026 RYLA conference to be held July 12–17 at the YMCA in Estes Park, Colorado. 

Any current Routt County 7^th grader can apply for the 2026 YRYLA conferences.  Two conference sessions will be held, and applicants can select which conference best fits their schedule:  either June 21-26 OR June 28-July 3 at the YMCA in Estes Park, Colorado

The program focuses on experiential learning and helps students build leadership, decision-making, teamwork, and communication skills through hands-on activities, group discussions, and guest speakers.  There is no cost to attend. Rotary covers the full conference fee; families are only responsible for transportation to and from the conference, with assistance available if needed.

Applications must be submitted online by March 31, 2026, through the RYLA link at www.SteamboatRotary.org. Selected applicants will be interviewed before final placement.
