Steamboat Springs Rotary Club Honors March Student of the Month: Cole Contois

The Rotary Club of Steamboat Springs is delighted to recognize Cole Contois as its Student of the Month for March 2026 at Steamboat Springs High School.

Cole was nominated by school counselor Anna Allsberry, who praised his rare combination of academic achievement, leadership, athletic discipline, and entrepreneurial success. Cole has demonstrated remarkable initiative in pursuing his academic and professional goals. Through advanced coursework at CMC, he is on track to graduate from high school while also earning his Associate’s Degree, reflecting an exceptional level of discipline.

Beyond academics, Cole has made a meaningful impact on school culture through his involvement in Student Leadership. He played a key role in organizing Steamboat Springs High School’s Homecoming celebration, moving the event to the base of the ski resort and coordinating entertainment to create a memorable and inclusive experience for students.

Cole is also an accomplished young entrepreneur. He founded Ski Town Landscaping at just 10 years old and has grown the company into a thriving business that now employs approximately 20 people and serves more than 100 clients, including major local contracts in Steamboat and other regional mountain towns. His role has evolved from hands-on work to managing contracts, payroll, and large-scale projects across the region.

In addition to his academic and business achievements, Cole has been active in the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club, competing in Slalom and Giant Slalom since childhood, and contributing to community initiatives such as the school’s Mental Health Day, helping organize speakers and activities for the entire student body.

According to Allsberry, Cole’s leadership style is marked by quiet confidence and a strong desire to solve problems and improve the community around him. “Cole is an incredibly unique individual with the imagination and determination to turn ideas into reality,” she said.
